Introduction
Welcome to AceDarts by JudeTech Solutions Ltd, trading as JD ("we", "our" or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains what personal data AceDarts collects when you use our mobile application, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
Your Account
- Account Information: Your email address and password, which are handled by Firebase Authentication, or your Sign in with Apple details. If you sign in with Apple, Apple may share your name and email address, or a private relay address instead of your email.
- Profile: The name you choose, your flight colour, your favourite game, the level you picked, and your favourite checkout doubles and trebles if you set them.
Your Games
- Matches: For each match you score: its settings, the players' names and flights, and every visit (the darts thrown, the scores and the checkouts). Unfinished matches are deleted 30 days after their last change. Finished matches are kept, so that they stay in everyone's history.
- Your Numbers: Your averages, checkout rates, 180s, a heat map of where your darts land, and your badges, which our server works out from your matches.
- Practice: Your lessons, your checkout quiz results and your Today's out streak.
- Join Codes: A six-digit code lets friends join your match. Anyone who enters it sees the host's name and the players' names and flights. Codes expire after 24 hours.
Purchases
- AceDarts Club: If you buy it, a record of the purchase: the product, the store (App Store or Google Play), the store's transaction ID, the price and currency, your country, the date, and whether it was a test purchase. It is linked to your account ID, with your member number and whether you're a Founding Member. Apple or Google take the payment: we never see your card or bank details.
Your Device and Diagnostics
- Crash and Error Reports: If the app crashes or hits an error, a report is sent to Sentry so that we can fix it. A report contains your account ID, your device model, operating system and app version, what went wrong and where in the app, and the screens and buttons you used just before. It never contains your name, email address or IP address.
- Usage Analytics: Unless you turn it off, the app sends PostHog a record of the screens you open and the actions you take (for example, starting or finishing a game), with your account ID, your device model, operating system and app version. It never includes your name or email address. You can turn it off at any time under Profile → Privacy → Share usage stats; crash reports are still sent, so that we can keep the app working.
- Push Token: If you allow notifications, your device's push token, together with your account ID and platform (iOS or Android).
What Other Players Can See
- Everyone in a match with you sees your name, your flight, your checkout preferences and every visit you throw. In online matches, your opponent can also see whether you're still connected.
- Each of your rivals sees your head-to-head record with them: wins and legs, and the numbers from the matches you played together (averages, checkouts, 180s, highest checkout and best leg).
- Your overall numbers, your practice and your profile are visible only to you.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Run your account and score your matches
- Keep your numbers and your head-to-head records
- Let friends join your matches
- Send the notifications you turn on
- Send the emails your account needs, such as email verification and password resets
- Find and fix crashes and errors
- Understand which features get used, so that we can improve them
- Unlock AceDarts Club on every phone you sign in to, and give out Founding Member numbers
- Keep the sales records the law requires for tax and accounting
We don't sell your data or use it for advertising, and we don't use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Push Notifications
AceDarts can notify you when a rival starts a match with you or challenges you online, and when it's your throw in an online match. These notifications are sent by our server (a Firebase Cloud Function) through Expo's push service, which delivers them using Apple Push Notification service (iPhone) or Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android). You can turn them off at any time under Profile → Notifications → Match invites. Your push token is deleted when you turn them off, and when you sign out.
Account Emails
When you sign up with an email address, or ask to reset your password, we email you a link. These emails are sent from admin@judedon.com by Resend, an email delivery service, using its servers in the European Union (Ireland). Resend receives your email address and the email itself, and uses them only to deliver it. If Resend is unavailable, Firebase Authentication sends the email instead.
Apple Watch and Live Activities
If you score from your Apple Watch, the watch and your iPhone talk to each other directly, and the visits then sync like any other match. Live Activities on your lock screen are created on your phone and don't send data anywhere.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in Google Firebase: Firebase Authentication (sign-in) and Cloud Firestore (your profile, matches, numbers, practice, head-to-head records and push tokens), in Google Cloud's European Union locations. Our Cloud Functions run in Google Cloud's europe-west1 region. Crash and error reports are stored by Sentry, and usage analytics by PostHog, both in the European Union. If you buy AceDarts Club, RevenueCat processes the purchase in the United States, under a data processing agreement with the safeguards UK and EU law require for international transfers. We use appropriate security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.
Third-Party Services
Our app uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase (Google): For sign-in, our database and Cloud Functions
- Sign in with Apple: If you choose to sign in with your Apple account
- Expo push service, Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging: To deliver the notifications you turn on
- Sentry: Crash and error reports, stored in the EU
- PostHog: Usage analytics, stored in the EU; you can turn it off in the app
- Resend: To send account emails, such as email verification and password resets, from its EU servers
- RevenueCat: If you buy AceDarts Club, it checks the purchase with Apple or Google and tells us about it. It receives your account ID, the purchase and the store's receipt, and your device's platform, app version and country
- Apple App Store and Google Play: Take payment for AceDarts Club, under their own terms
Each of these services has its own privacy policy about how it handles your data.
Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account), or by emailing admin@judedon.com. These steps are also explained at judedon.com/apps/acedarts/delete-account.
Deleting your account removes:
- Your account
- Your profile
- Your numbers
- Your practice progress
- Your push tokens
It also revokes Sign in with Apple, if you used it. The matches you played and your head-to-head records stay, because they're part of other players' history too.
If you bought AceDarts Club, your member card is deleted. The record of the purchase is kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, linked only to your account ID, and your member number is never given to anyone else. Club stays tied to the Apple ID or Google account you bought it with: if you make a new AceDarts account later, Restore purchases brings it back.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, including:
- The right to access your data
- The right to correct inaccurate data
- The right to delete your data
- The right to restrict or object to processing
